Terms and Conditions for: The Helaina Guest House
The management reserve the right to quote prices higher or lower to those published. We also reserve the right to have minimum stay requirements and alter those minimum stay to requirements according to demand. Once a guest has secured a booking we will not alter their price or terms.

Bookings and Cancellation
It is our policy to take a deposit equivalent to the total cost of the first night stay. It is payable by cash, card our cheque. This deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances. The balance is payable on departure.
Cancellations 7-nights or more before the arrival date will only forfeit the deposit. Cancellations less than 7-days before arrival will incur a charge of 50% or the rest of the balance.
In the event of a ‘no show’ or curtailment of stay the full cost of the stay will be chargeable.
For 1-nights stay we take a non-refundable payment in advance.
We recommend that guests take out holiday insurance to cover for cancellation or curtailment of stay.
The use of a Debit Card is free. We charge 3% for the all Credit Card transactions.
Terms and Conditions for: Lighthouse Holiday Cottage and Luxury Apartments (Self Catering Holidays)
For bookings more than 30-days in advance we require a deposit of £150.00. This deposit is non refundable. The balance of the payment is due 2-weeks prior to arrival.
For bookings less than 30-days prior to arrival we require payment in full. This payment is non-refundable.
By making your booking, our agreement is a legal contract. If you cancel more than 30 days prior to arrival we will only retain the deposit. For cancellation 30-14 days prior to arrival, 50% of the total cost will be charged. For cancellations less than 14 days prior to arrival, curtailment of stay or No Show, the total cost of your holiday is payable in full. *Please note: these terms apply under all circumstances.
We accept all Cheques, Cash and Debit / Credit cards for bookings at The Helaina Luxury Apartments.
However please note we only accept cheques or cash payments for Lighthouse Holiday Cottage (as it is a separate business and not included in VAT).
Helaina Luxury Apartments is a Limited Company. Company Number 7588871.Helaina Luxury Apartments Limited and Lighthouse Holiday Cottage are not VAT registered.
Guests are respectfully asked to leave the property reasonably clean and tidy on departure. We always expect to clean a property thoroughly after guests depart. However properties left in a very poor state that require extensive cleaning and / or specialist cleaning services (for example carpet cleaning and upholstery cleaning) may be liable for additional charges.
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
We are also committed to recycling at Hotel Helaina & Lighthouse Cottage. If you leave waste paper, glass, cans and plastic bottles, we collect and recycle, but only if you leave these items clean and in a separate refuse bag.
